Frequently Asked Questions About Front & Rear Differential Assembly
Why is the gear ratio match so critical?
On 4WD and AWD vehicles, running differing front and rear differential ratios will bind the drivetrain and instantly destroy the transfer case.
Is the differential filled with gear oil for delivery?
No. All recycled automotive fluids are drained prior to shipping per DOT freight regulations. Fresh gear oil of the manufacturer-specified viscosity must be installed before driving.
