1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Doorstep Auto Parts ("doorstepautoparts.com", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, discussing vehicle specifications with our representatives, or placing an order for automotive parts, you ("Customer", "Buyer", "You") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree to all provisions contained herein, you must refrain from using this website and from ordering parts through our service.
2. Quotations, Pricing & Order Authorization
All pricing and quotations issued by Doorstep Auto Parts are subject to the following conditions:
- Quotation Validity: Sourced parts are subject to continuous inventory turnover across our certified recycler network. Price quotes are valid for the timeframe specified at the time of quotation or for up to 48 hours unless otherwise noted.
- Written Confirmation: An order is officially accepted once payment authorization is confirmed and an official Doorstep Auto Parts Order Number (e.g.
DS-XXXXXX) is issued. - Pricing Discrepancies: While we strive for absolute accuracy, in the rare event that a part is listed with an erroneous price due to typographical or supplier interchange system errors, we reserve the right to cancel or void the transaction prior to shipment and issue a complete refund.
3. Vehicle Fitment & Compatibility Responsibilities
Automotive engineering requires strict attention to vehicle specifications. Because vehicle manufacturers frequently implement mid-year production changes, engine option differences, and computer calibration revisions:
- VIN Requirement: Customers are urged to supply a full 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to facilitate accurate interchange cross-referencing.
- Installer Verification: Prior to unbolting or installing any replacement part, the installing mechanic or shop must visually inspect the replacement unit against the original part removed from the vehicle (confirming bolt patterns, electrical sensor plugs, wiring harnesses, intake runner shapes, and sensor locations).
- Installation of Wrong Parts: Installing an incorrect part voids return eligibility. Labor charges resulting from installing an incorrect or unverified component are strictly non-reimbursable.
4. 90-Day Standard Warranty Coverage
Eligible mechanical assemblies—including complete engines, automatic and manual transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials—include our 90-Day Standard Replacement Guarantee starting on the carrier delivery date:
- Covered Components: Internal lubricated moving parts (engine blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, camshafts, pistons, transmission gears, planetary sets, oil pumps, and torque converters).
- Non-Covered Accessories: Wear items, gaskets, oil seals, spark plugs, sensors, timing belts, water pumps, wiring harnesses, and hoses that may remain attached to a long block or assembly are included for buyer convenience only and are not warrantied. New seals and gaskets must be installed before putting the unit into service.
- Warranty Remedy: If a mechanical defect occurs within the 90-day window, Doorstep Auto Parts will, at its sole discretion: (a) provide an equivalent replacement unit; or (b) issue a refund of the part purchase price.
5. Limitation of Liability & Labor Claims
NO LABOR WARRANTY: Doorstep Auto Parts sells automotive replacement components only. Under no circumstances shall Doorstep Auto Parts, its suppliers, or partners be liable for labor expenses, shop repair fees, mechanic hours, diagnostic fees, fluids, gaskets, towing charges, vehicle storage, rental car fees, loss of time, loss of vehicle use, or any incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages resulting from the purchase, delivery, delay, or failure of any part.
In all instances, the maximum financial liability of Doorstep Auto Parts shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by the customer for the specific component.
6. Core Deposits and Returns
Certain rebuilt or recycled assemblies may require a refundable core deposit. If a core charge applies to your order, it will be clearly itemized on your written invoice. To receive a core refund:
- The old core must be the exact model and displacement as the replacement unit purchased.
- The core must be fully drained of all fluids (oil, coolant, transmission fluid).
- The core must be returned in the original crate or pallet within 30 days of receiving your replacement part.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions and any transactions conducted with Doorstep Auto Parts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to your purchase, the parties agree to first attempt good-faith informal negotiation through our customer resolution desk.
